本團隊開發的工研院車載通訊組件IWCU (ITRI WAVE/DSRC Communications Unit),乃是國內首套具世界級效能WAVE/DSRC產品,同時也是國內首套符合國際標準IEEE 802.11p/1609、SAE J2735,以及ETSI GeoNetworking通訊協定之產品,整合車外 WAVE/DSRC 與 3G/3.5G 通訊介面,及車內 CAN、WiFi等通訊技術,擁有全球獨創之多頻道運作技術、通訊安全防護與追蹤技術等優於國際水準之核心技術。
