本團隊開發的工研院車載通訊組件IWCU (ITRI WAVE/DSRC Communications Unit)，乃是國內首套具世界級效能WAVE/DSRC產品，同時也是國內首套符合國際標準IEEE 802.11p/1609、SAE J2735，以及ETSI GeoNetworking通訊協定之產品，整合車外 WAVE/DSRC 與 3G/3.5G 通訊介面，及車內 CAN、WiFi等通訊技術，擁有全球獨創之多頻道運作技術、通訊安全防護與追蹤技術等優於國際水準之核心技術。
自2009年起，本團隊以IWCU系列產品奪得多項國際標案，包括：
